Worth a Good Read...

The other day I was on Pinterest, shocker I know, and I saw this pin about adoption books, obviously my eyes perked up because I'm always on the lookout for kid friendly books about adoption (and lets be honest...there aren't really all that many out there) BUT I was so happy to see this list because there were several on there! And ones that look fun! Check them out: (list courtesy of this blog)

So far I've gotten "Tell Me Again about the night I was born" and "A Mother for Choco
What about you? Read any good books lately?

  1. I love the book "A Mother for Choco". I teared up the first time I read it. The other day I saw "Brown like Me" on Amazon. I haven't read it but it was written by an African-American girl that was adopted by a caucasian family. I've added it to my list of books I want.

  2. I was just pondering about adoption books only a few hours ago. Thank you for this post. Our son's domestic adoption has been final for two years today. YAY! Also, I agree with Laurie about the book "A Mother for Choco". Its one of our favorites.

  3. I love "Tell me again about the night you were born." My mom bought it for her grandbabies, every once in awhile I walk to the book shelf, pick it up and read it wondering what our adoption story will look like :)

  4. We received a number of these books for Nathaniel's Welcome Home party. My favorite by far was "I Wished for You." It did a great job explaining our adoption journey and the intense emotions in wishing for a child.
